Healthcare science, technology, and advancements have grown exponentially, creating a critical gap in key areas that demands immediate and practical learning to stay ahead of the curve. Bouvé College of Health Sciences can bridge that gap and offer a pathway to success with the Virtual Care Certificate. This is the second part of the certificate program and contains the modules: Remote Care Delivery and Operational Requirements; Legal, Regulatory, Privacy & Security Requirements in Telehealth and Telecare; Immersive Media and Technology Trends and Innovation; Technology Assessment.
Credits: This is a non-credit, continuing education program. It has been awarded 10 contact hours per module by the Northeastern University School of Nursing. MaineHealth’s Office of Continuing Education is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education (ACCME) and provides credit for the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. Maine Medical Center has designated these educational activities for up to 10 AMA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation of the activity.
The learning is online with flexible modules allowing participants to learn at his or her pace. The curriculum includes the following modules.

- Immersive Media and Technology Trends and Innovation
- Technology Assessment
Students who have sucessfully completed Parts I and II will receive a Certificate of Completion. Students who complete only Part I or Part II will receive a Level 2 badge for the courses completed.
